The wind and water-resistant vest is made from a durable, 300 denier polyester with a water-resistant finish and an interior fleece lining to keep your dog warm on a cool day. It provides full coverage of the stomach, chest and back for a comfortable and secure fit that doesn't restrict movement. The perfect blend of lightweight jacket and adventure dog harness, the Overcoat Fuse Jacket is perfect for hiking, camping, and other popular dog-friendly activities.

Connect a leash to the midpoint of the back or on the front of the chest area to best suit your dog’s walking behaviour. The two zippered pockets make carrying small items like dog poop bags, treats, ID tags, or other essentials for walking and day hikes with your pooch. The side release system on the jacket’s underbelly makes the garment a breeze to put on and take off. It’s even lined with reflective trim to improve visibility in low light and has a light loop for attaching the Ruffwear Beacon. It is recommended to stick with the girth measurements; measurement for the product is only recommended to use for difficult-to-fit dogs.

How to Measure Your Dog

 

 

  1. Neck: Measure the circumference of the base, leaving enough space to fit two fingers comfortably.
  2. Lower Neck: Measure the circumference of the area above the shoulder blades towards the top of the chest, leaving enough space to fit two fingers comfortably.
  3. Chest Girth: Measure the circumference of the widest part of the chest behind the front legs.
  4. Length: Measure the length of your dog's back from the top of their shoulders to the base of their tail.
  5. Height: Measure the distance from the floor to the top of your dog's shoulder blades. Your dog needs to be standing on all four legs.
  6. Paw Width: Measure the widest part of the paw. You'll get a better measurement if your pup is standing.
  7. Paw Length: Measure the distance between the "heel" and the longest toe nail. You'll get a better measurement if your pup is standing.
  8. Muzzle Length: Measure the nose length from the tip to the crook where you want the muzzle to sit comfortably below the eyes.
  9. Muzzle Width: Measure the muzzle's circumference at the widest part, leaving space for two fingers to ensure a comfortable fit.
  10. Weight: Step on a scale while holding the dog, then subtract your weight from the total. A dog scale is conveniently located at all our locations.

Care

Please secure all fasteners and wash the jacket on cold water in, a gentle cycle, using a mild detergent. Please hang to dry the jacket and do not dry clean or use bleach on the product.
