Stella & Chewy's can be served just as it comes or it can be re-hydrated to give it a softer texture by adding warm water. Be sure to provide fresh, clean drinking water at your dog's meal times, especially when feeding this formula dry.
Re-hydration directions: Crumble patties into a bowl or dish and add 1/4 cup (60 ml) of water for every 2 patties served.
Transitioning: If your dog has never eaten Stella & Chewy's products or if you are trying a new flavour, mix this freeze-dried food with your dog's current food for at least 5 - 7 days to make it easier on the digestive tract. Please note that these are guidelines. Always consult your veterinarian, especially for pregnant or nursing dogs.
Note: Freeze-dried/raw food may contain bacteria that can be harmful to humans. In order to protect yourself, keep all raw meat and poultry away from other foods. Be sure to wash your hands and clean any surfaces and items you may come into contact with (counter, table, dish, utensils, etc.) when serving raw food with hot water and soap.
