The Kurgo Enhanced Strength Tru-Fit Car Harness is crash-tested for dogs up to 75 lbs and designed with the same technology used for linesman and rock climbing equipment. It is intended to keep dogs, drivers, and passengers safe while they are travelling in a vehicle.

There are five adjustment points to ensure a comfortable and secure fit, and the broad chest pad reduces pressure for extra protection of the sternum and trachea area. Not only is this harness compatible with any vehicle seatbelt system - it can also be used as a no-pulling walking harness (there is a ring on the padded chest plate) to discourage your dog from pulling on the lead.

This harness includes a 10" dog seat belt tether with a carabiner and is machine washable. All hardware is made of steel. Available in a variety of sizes. Please see the specification tab for more information about this product.

How to Measure Your Dog

  1. Neck: Measure the circumference of the base, leaving enough space to fit two fingers comfortably.
  2. Lower Neck: Measure the circumference of the area above the shoulder blades towards the top of the chest, leaving enough space to fit two fingers comfortably.
  3. Chest Girth: Measure the circumference of the widest part of the chest behind the front legs.
  4. Length: Measure the length of your dog's back from the top of their shoulders to the base of their tail.
  5. Height: Measure the distance from the floor to the top of your dog's shoulder blades. Your dog needs to be standing on all four legs.
  6. Paw Width: Measure the widest part of the paw. You'll get a better measurement if your pup is standing.
  7. Paw Length: Measure the distance between the "heel" and the longest toe nail. You'll get a better measurement if your pup is standing.
  8. Muzzle Length: Measure the nose length from the tip to the crook where you want the muzzle to sit comfortably below the eyes.
  9. Muzzle Width: Measure the muzzle's circumference at the widest part, leaving space for two fingers to ensure a comfortable fit.
  10. Weight: Step on a scale while holding the dog, then subtract your weight from the total. A dog scale is conveniently located at all our locations.
