The Hurtta Expedition Parka is the ultimate cold-weather coat, designed to keep dogs warm and comfortable during winter adventures. Ideal for short-haired breeds, senior dogs, and pups that need extra insulation, this parka is also perfect for keeping agility dogs warm after training sessions. Made with a durable 300D shell fabric, it is both water- and windproof, offering protection against the elements while remaining lightweight and comfortable.

Unlike bulky winter coats that restrict movement, the Expedition Parka features soft elastic segments on the front, allowing dogs to run, jump, and play without limitations. Adjustable back length, collar circumference, and neckline ensure a perfect fit, while the snow trap collar provides additional warmth and protection. XS- Special size for long-backed and short-legged breeds, including Dachshunds.

How to Measure Your Dog

 

 

  1. Neck: Measure the circumference of the base, leaving enough space to fit two fingers comfortably.
  2. Lower Neck: Measure the circumference of the area above the shoulder blades towards the top of the chest, leaving enough space to fit two fingers comfortably.
  3. Chest Girth: Measure the circumference of the widest part of the chest behind the front legs.
  4. Length: Measure the length of your dog's back from the top of their shoulders to the base of their tail.
  5. Height: Measure the distance from the floor to the top of your dog's shoulder blades. Your dog needs to be standing on all four legs.
  6. Paw Width: Measure the widest part of the paw. You'll get a better measurement if your pup is standing.
  7. Paw Length: Measure the distance between the "heel" and the longest toe nail. You'll get a better measurement if your pup is standing.
  8. Muzzle Length: Measure the nose length from the tip to the crook where you want the muzzle to sit comfortably below the eyes.
  9. Muzzle Width: Measure the muzzle's circumference at the widest part, leaving space for two fingers to ensure a comfortable fit.
  10. Weight: Step on a scale while holding the dog, then subtract your weight from the total. A dog scale is conveniently located at all our locations.

Care

Machine wash with warm and similar colours. Do not use fabric softener or bleach. Do not tumble dry, iron or dry clean.
