Canada Pooch Weighted Calming Vest offers support and comfort to anxious dogs when facing separation, travelling, loud noises and other anxiety-causing events. The WEIGHTED CALM™ insert provides gentle pressure, evenly distributing the weight on your dog’s shoulders to help create a calmer emotional state. Give your dog a hug that calms and lasts longer.

The vest is easy to fit and adjustable thanks to its velcro closures around the belly and chest. Machine washable for easy cleaning, just remember to remove the insert before putting it in the washing machine. Available in three colours and sizes XS to XXL. Size Guide

To determine the best and most comfortable fit for your dog, confirm their weight and measure around the largest part of their chest, right behind their forelimbs. If your dog is in between sizes, sizing down is recommended.

*The weight on your dog’s shoulders should not exceed 3% of your dog’s body weight. The WEIGHTED CALM™ insert is made with non-toxic microbeads.

How to Measure Your Dog

 

 

  1. Neck: Measure the circumference of the base, leaving enough space to fit two fingers comfortably.
  2. Lower Neck: Measure the circumference of the area above the shoulder blades towards the top of the chest, leaving enough space to fit two fingers comfortably.
  3. Chest Girth: Measure the circumference of the widest part of the chest behind the front legs.
  4. Length: Measure the length of your dog's back from the top of their shoulders to the base of their tail.
  5. Height: Measure the distance from the floor to the top of your dog's shoulder blades. Your dog needs to be standing on all four legs.
  6. Paw Width: Measure the widest part of the paw. You'll get a better measurement if your pup is standing.
  7. Paw Length: Measure the distance between the "heel" and the longest toe nail. You'll get a better measurement if your pup is standing.
  8. Muzzle Length: Measure the nose length from the tip to the crook where you want the muzzle to sit comfortably below the eyes.
  9. Muzzle Width: Measure the muzzle's circumference at the widest part, leaving space for two fingers to ensure a comfortable fit.
  10. Weight: Step on a scale while holding the dog, then subtract your weight from the total. A dog scale is conveniently located at all our locations.

Care

Fasten closure. Spot clean dirt or machine washable once the WEIGHTED CALM™ insert is removed. Machine wash inside out on a gentle cycle with cold water. Hang to dry. Do not iron.
