Muttluks Snow Mushers Dog Boots are designed with both function and comfort in mind. The Muttluks Snow Mushers are a set of two boots designed specifically for the cold winter and aid in keeping your best friend's paws warm and protected. Each boot uses a fleece lining for warmth and comfort, as well as a rubber sole to protect the dog's paws from salt, snowballs, and traction while in the snow or walking on icy terrain. These boots are comfortable to put on and even easier to fasten for a snug fit that won't fall off. Each boot features a large stretch cuff for a proper fit around the leg and uses a double wrap system to ensure the boot stays in place. Stitched along the top of the boot is 3M reflective material for visibility in low light conditions. Muttlucks Snow Mushers are machine washable.

How to Measure Your Dog

 

 

  1. Neck: Measure the circumference of the base, leaving enough space to fit two fingers comfortably.
  2. Lower Neck: Measure the circumference of the area above the shoulder blades towards the top of the chest, leaving enough space to fit two fingers comfortably.
  3. Chest Girth: Measure the circumference of the widest part of the chest behind the front legs.
  4. Length: Measure the length of your dog's back from the top of their shoulders to the base of their tail.
  5. Height: Measure the distance from the floor to the top of your dog's shoulder blades. Your dog needs to be standing on all four legs.
  6. Paw Width: Measure the widest part of the paw. You'll get a better measurement if your pup is standing.
  7. Paw Length: Measure the distance between the "heel" and the longest toe nail. You'll get a better measurement if your pup is standing.
  8. Muzzle Length: Measure the nose length from the tip to the crook where you want the muzzle to sit comfortably below the eyes.
  9. Muzzle Width: Measure the muzzle's circumference at the widest part, leaving space for two fingers to ensure a comfortable fit.
  10. Weight: Step on a scale while holding the dog, then subtract your weight from the total. A dog scale is conveniently located at all our locations.

Additional Information

Choose a size that fits your dog's entire paw, including toenails. A snug fit is best. Boots that are too large may slip off. 

Your dog will best acclimatize to Muttluks outdoors so be ready to go, then:

  • Open the Velcro strap fastener
  • Stand over the dog and slip Muttluks on from behind the dog
  • Bunch up the cuff and pull the Muttluk over the paw
  • Hold the dog's elbow with one hand and wiggle the boot on with the other hand
  • Pull the Velcro strap TIGHTLY around the boot and press shut
  • Cut off any excess strap, if desired
  • Take your dog outside and enjoy!
