Feeding Guidelines

Weight of Cat (lbs) Serving Size
4 lb or less up to 1/3 cup
4-7 lbs 1/3 to 1/2 cup
7-10 lbs 1/2 to 2/3 cup
10-13 lbs 2/3 to 3/4 cup
13-16 lbs 3/4 to 7/8 cup
1 cup = 8oz. measuring cup. To help maintain freshness. we recommend sealing bag tightly and storing in a cool, dry location. This chart is a guide, and may differ based on feeding habits and activity levels of your cat.

Newly weaned kittens can be offered Natural Balance Ultra Premium Cat Food moistened with warm water. You can also mix in canned cat food for ease of feeding. Kittens should be fed free choice to promote healthy growth and adequate weight gain. Food intake requirement may vary depending on age, activity, and environment, and should be adjusted accordingly.

Gestating and Lactating Queens

Gestating and lactating queens will consume more, usually 1/2 to 2 cups daily.

Mature Cats

As your cat begins to age, his energy expenditure will decrease. Decreasing the amount of food accordingly will allow for the maintenance of proper body weight for less active cat. Older cats are sometimes more reluctant to eat hard foods. Adding larger amounts of canned cat food will make the most "finicky" eater enjoy their daily meals.

Note: These feeding guidelines are suggested only, feeding amounts may vary by breed, activity level, temperament and climate.
