Help your dog stay cool during light, fast, high-energy activities and protection during the warm summer with Ruffwear Cooler Zip Cooling Dog Vest. This cooling vest uses an evaporative cooling method with the three-layered material in the chest panel. The middle layer absorbs water while the comfort liner layer transfers the cool directly to your dog while the wicking outer layer evaporates to help your dog regulate its temperature. In addition, the spandex on the back protects from the sun (UPC rated up to 50+). Located on the side of the jacket is a YKK zipper making the vest easy to put on and take off, ensuring a snug fit.

How to Measure Your Dog

 

 

  1. Neck: Measure the circumference of the base, leaving enough space to fit two fingers comfortably.
  2. Lower Neck: Measure the circumference of the area above the shoulder blades towards the top of the chest, leaving enough space to fit two fingers comfortably.
  3. Chest Girth: Measure the circumference of the widest part of the chest behind the front legs.
  4. Length: Measure the length of your dog's back from the top of their shoulders to the base of their tail.
  5. Height: Measure the distance from the floor to the top of your dog's shoulder blades. Your dog needs to be standing on all four legs.
  6. Paw Width: Measure the widest part of the paw. You'll get a better measurement if your pup is standing.
  7. Paw Length: Measure the distance between the "heel" and the longest toe nail. You'll get a better measurement if your pup is standing.
  8. Muzzle Length: Measure the nose length from the tip to the crook where you want the muzzle to sit comfortably below the eyes.
  9. Muzzle Width: Measure the muzzle's circumference at the widest part, leaving space for two fingers to ensure a comfortable fit.
  10. Weight: Step on a scale while holding the dog, then subtract your weight from the total. A dog scale is conveniently located at all our locations.

Please wash the vest on cold water, a gentle cycle, using a mild detergent. Please air dry the vest and not dry clean or use bleach on the product.
