Canned food is more moisture-rich and often more flavourful than kibble, so it can be a big shift for your pet’s digestive system. Here's a gentle 10-day plan to make the transition smooth and stress-free:

  • Days 1–2: Increase to 25% canned, 75% current food. 
  • Days 3–4: Move to a 50/50 mix. 
  • Days 5–6: Shift to 75% canned, 25% current food. 
  • Days 7+: Full switch to 100% canned food. 

Take it slow if needed—there’s no harm in stretching this timeline out further, especially for pets with sensitive stomachs or picky appetites.
