Get your dog to help out with carrying some supplies before the day or overnight hiking or camping trip with Ruffwear Approach Pack. This backpack uses a saddlebag design with a weight-forward, radical cut harness suspension system for load stability and comfort as well as non-slip girth straps and padded handle to enforce even load distribution and a customizable fit. Located on the back are a 6061-T6 aluminium V-Ring and a webbed loop that gives you the option to attach a leash either to the backpack or a harness and an area to attach Ruffwear The Beacon or Audible Beacon for added visibility and safety in mind. The Approach pack also offers additional loops and pockets if you ever need to store or hang other items for your dog to carry.

Please only allow your dog to carry 25% of its weight, for those pooches who have never used a backpack start light and very slowly add additional weight so they can get comfortable with the backpack.

How to Measure Your Dog
- Muzzle Length
Measure the length of the nose from the tip to the crook where you want the muzzle to sit comfortable below the eyes.
- Muzzle Width
Measure the circumference of the muzzle at the widest part, leaving space for two fingers to ensure a comfortable fit.
Measure the circumference of the base, leaving enough space to comfortably fit two fingers.
- Leg Length
Measure your dog from the top of the shoulder and hip to the floor.
- Chest Girth
Measure the circumference of the widest part of the chest behind the front legs.
Measure the length from the top of their shoulders to the base of their tail.
- Paw Width
Measure the diameter of the widest park of the paw.
Please secure all fasteners and hand wash backpack using a mild detergent. Please hang to dry and do not dry clean or use bleach on the product.
