Who says your favorite adventure buddy can’t carry a few things? The Ruffwear Palisade Pack is the perfect solution to pack a few things onto your dog for your backpacking adventure. The Palisade Pack comes with two BPA-free hydration bottles and bilateral saddlebags. This backpack doubles as both a backpack and harness, the cross-load compression system has a saddlebag design that allows the side packs to be easily removed— making it easy to give your dog breaks or the freedom to move at checkpoints along your backcountry adventure. Simply remove the saddlebags and your dog is then wearing a modified Ruffwear’s Web Master Harness, this harness contains four attachment points ensuring the weight of the saddlebags are evenly and comfortably distributed.
Located on the back is a 6061-T6 aluminium V-Ring and a webbed loop that gives the option to attach a leash to either the backpack or the harness as well as a spot to attach the Ruffwear The Beacon Light or Audible Beacon Light for added visibility and safety. A padded handle is an added feature for you to help your adventure buddy through challenging obstacle. The Palisades pack contains additional loops and pockets on the outside of the main saddlebags for the option of hanging or storing easy to reach items.

It is recommended to stick with the girth measurements; If your dog is in between sizes, choose the smaller size.

Please only allow your dog to carry 25% of its weight, for those pooches who have never used a backpack start light and very slowly add additional weight so they can get comfortable with the backpack.
How to Measure Your Dog
- Muzzle Length
Measure the length of the nose from the tip to the crook where you want the muzzle to sit comfortable below the eyes.
- Muzzle Width
Measure the circumference of the muzzle at the widest part, leaving space for two fingers to ensure a comfortable fit.
Measure the circumference of the base, leaving enough space to comfortably fit two fingers.
- Leg Length
Measure your dog from the top of the shoulder and hip to the floor.
- Chest Girth
Measure the circumference of the widest part of the chest behind the front legs.
Measure the length from the top of their shoulders to the base of their tail.
- Paw Width
Measure the diameter of the widest park of the paw.
For Backpack: Please secure all fasteners, remove hydration bladders and hand wash backpack using a mild detergent. Please hang to dry and do not dry clean or use bleach on the product.
For Hydration Bladders: Hand wash with dish soap, rinse thoroughly and air dry.
