Freeze-dried raw is rich and nutrient-dense, so it’s best to ease into it, especially if your pet’s been eating kibble or canned food:
- Days 1–2: Mix 10% freeze-dried raw with 90% of their current food. Rehydrate the freeze-dried portion with warm water to make it easier to digest.
- Days 3–4: Increase to 25% freeze-dried, 75% current food.
- Days 5–6: Go for a 50/50 split.
- Days 7–8: Shift to 75% freeze-dried, 25% current food.
- Days 9–10: Fully transition to 100% freeze-dried raw.
