Baie Run Diatomaceous Earth is a natural way to help control pests that are bothering your pet. Diatomaceous earth, also known as silicon dioxide, is an odourless and non-staining powder made from fossilized aquatic organisms. Coat infested areas with the powder. When fleas and other insects crawl over the fine powder, it scrapes their exoskeleton, allowing them to dehydrate and die. The diatomaceous earth remains effective for as long as it is present and dry. Available in 350 g (12.3 oz), 600 g (21.2 oz), and 1.2 kg (42.3 oz) containers. Made in Canada.
When pests crawl over this powder it scratches their outer protection allowing essential internal moisture to escape. This dehydrates them and they die within 48 hours of coming into contact with the powder. Diatomaceous Earth will stay active for as long as it is present and dry.
Directions:
Read the label prior to use. Lightly apply to the flea infested area (including pet beds, carpets, furniture, baseboards...). Vacuum after four days, then reapply.
First Aid
If powder is in eyes, hold eyes open and rinse thoroughly with water for 15 to 20 minutes. After 5 minutes remove any contact lenses, then continue rinsing for the last 10 to 15 minutes. If inhaled, move the person to an area with fresh air. If they are not breathing, call 911 or an ambulance and give artificial breathing (mouth to mouth). Immediately call a poison control centre or doctor for treatment advice. Have the person sip water if they can swallow. Do not induce vomiting unless recommended by a doctor or the poison control centre. Do not give anything to swallow or ingest to an unconscious person. Take container label or product name and Pest Control Product Registration number with you when seeking medical attention.
Empty container is not appropiate for further use. Rinse and dispose.
